Full Scholarships for Fulfilling Careers
It’s a Crystal-Clear Path to a Great Place
The American Crystal program offers full scholarships that cover all expenses – books, tuition, tools, and room and board – in seven different degree fields at three area vocational schools. The program includes job shadowing opportunities at our five factories that begin after each school year ends and between the spring and fall semesters. When students graduate from their selected partner program, they’ll join one of our factories for their first two years of employment to complete the commitment, followed by the opportunity to permanently join a team with ongoing advancement opportunities for a rewarding career with American Crystal.
Bismarck State College Partnership
Our partnership with Bismarck State College helps prepare students for Packaging Techs, Electronic Control Technician – ECT, House Mechanic, Boiler Technicians, and Process Technician careers at our factories. Full scholarships, covering tuition, tools, books, and room/board costs, are awarded annually to students pursuing AAS degrees in Power Generation Technology, Process Technology, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation and Control Technology, and Mechanical Maintenance Technology.
Graduates are guaranteed a position with our factories after successfully completing the program.

Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range
Our partnership with Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range helps prepare students for House Mechanic and Electronic Control Technician careers at our factories. Full scholarships, covering tuition, tools, books, and room/board costs, are awarded annually to students pursuing an AAS degree in Electrical Controls and a diploma in Industrial Mechanical Technology.
Minnesota North College-Mesabi Range is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
Graduates are guaranteed a position with our factories after successfully completing the program.

North Dakota State College of Science
Our newest partnership with North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND will prepare students for careers as Electronic Control Technicians or Packaging Techs at our factory locations. Full scholarships, covering tuition, tools, books and room/board costs, are awarded yearly to students pursuing AAS degrees in the Robotics, Automation, and Mechatronics Technology Program.
Graduates are guaranteed a position with our factories after successfully completing the program.
